<p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Disclosures of an act of bankruptcy and tax offences. On Thursday, 12 February 2003 the Council of the Law Society of New South Wales noted that it had not been able to make a determination for the purposes of Section 38FC of the Legal Profession Act, 1987, with respect to the notifications made by Adrian Mee Ling. The Law Society Council further noted on that date that an indefinite statutory suspension of the practising certificate of Adrian Mee Ling followed in accordance with the provisions of Section 38FH of the Legal Profession Act, 1987, from midnight on Tuesday, 11 February 2003.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Council of the Law Society further noted that Section 38FG(2) of the Legal Profession Act, 1987 requires the Legal Services Commissioner to take over the determination of the matter when a statutory suspension of a practising certificate arises.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Legal Services Commissioner will now make a determination pursuant to his powers contained within Division 1AA, Part 3 of the Legal Profession Act, 1987.</span></p>
